June 17th, 2008, All Angelina Jolie, Angelina Jolie, Angelina quoted,Angelina Jolie’s role as a United Nations ambassador also reflects in her interviews when promoting movies. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Angelina Jolie talks about her up-coming movie “Wanted” and her role as Fox who is a hired killer that advocates political assassination in extreme cases, which Jolie says “a complete no-no as far as the U.N. is concerned”.
“I am a strong believer that without justice there is no peace. I’m somebody who’s very curious about the International Criminal Court and supportive of following through on the arrest warrants in Darfur,” says Jolie.
“The idea behind Wanted is not that she’s a badass assassin that just likes to kill people. It’s that, if you ran into Hitler before he did everything, and you knew, should you shoot him? And I would,” she added.
Good thing Jolie wasn’t born during the Hitler days, or Adolf would be pissed.
Jolie also talks about her view in current politics. She says that the political views of Clint Eastwood, who directed her movie Changeling, didn’t cause them to argue about politics.
“Actually, we don’t disagree as much as you’d think. I think people assume I’m a Democrat. But I’m registered independent and I’m still undecided. So I’m looking at McCain as well as Obama. Clint can teach me about things domestically and I’m more aware of some things internationally. So (our conversations were) less a debate and more things we found interesting,” Jolie says.
