In a very candid interview with Angelina Jolie, who is pregnant with Brad’s twins, she reveals that she is the mastermind behind Brad Pitt’s mysterious tattoo, which has been photographed. This tattoo, which looks like a bunch of lines a child would draw, appeared seemingly out of nowhere on the lower back of Brad Pitt. Since Pitt’s genetically-perfect body is tattoo-free before this, many are curious of its meaning.

Some people thought the tattoo may be an ancient treasure map, others joked that it was a clue on Brad’s Code. As it turns out, it has nothing to do with anything deep.

When asked, what’s the deal with Brad’s new tattoo? Jolie answered, “I drew that. We went to Davos. It’s not that we were bored at the World Economic Forum, but one night we didn’t have anything to do, so I was drawing on his back.”

When asked if it’s not permanent, Jolie said it was at first. Then after she sketched the lines on Brad’s back, Jolie thought it would make a perfect tattoo. “He just liked it! The picture everybody saw was kind of awkward, but it just lines up beautifully on his back… just enhances the part of the body I like.”

There you have it. No secret messages, treasure maps or other coded meanings to Brad Pitt’s tattoo. It’s a product of traveling and hiding in a hotel to stay away from the paparazzi. Well, of course, as cheesy as this may sound, it’s also a product of their love for each other.
