Sharing the spotlight with Suri Cruise, Angelina Jolie’s daughter Shiloh appears on a March 2008 cover of OK magazine. The feature compares the lives of the two most famous babies born in 2006. With the headline ‘Oh, How They’ve Grown!’, the article starts out:
It seems like just yesterday the world was awaiting the births of two of Hollywood’s most anticipated babies: Shiloh Jolie-Pitt and Suri Cruise. Today, as these two precious tots get ready to celebrate their second birthday, it’s safe to say that both Shiloh and Suri have accomplished more than the average adult, traveling the world and hobnobbing with some of Hollywood’s elite.
Of course in reality these children have accomplished nothing and the whole OK piece is completely ridiculous and was just an opportunity to do a Shiloh Suri comparison piece. These two girls have been compared before they were even born and will continue to be compared because people just don’t have anything better to do. Why should the world give a damn about the privileged lives of these two girls while so many children all over the world could use a little attention to their plight of hunger, homelessness, inability to afford a scrap of cloth to cover themselves much less Armani clothing? Shiloh and Suri already have it all. Let’s hear about some children with stories that are really worth telling.
