Jolie-Pitt Plans to Adopt an Ethiopian Boy?
June 20th, 2008, All Angelina Jolie, Angelina Jolie family, Angelina with her kids,Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who has three adopted children, Maddox, Pax and Zahara, as well as biological daughter Shiloh and twins on the way, are reported to plan on adopting another child, particularly a little boy from Ethiopia.
Ok! Magazine reports that a source said, “Angelina was pretty far along in the process of adopting a beautiful baby that captured the couple’s heart when she and Brad got the surprise of their life and found out they were expecting.”
If this new adoption rumor were true, the Jolie-Pitts would have four girls (the twins, Zahara and Shiloh) and three boys (Maddox, Pax and the rumored new child) – three of which are biological and four adopted.
“Angie and Brad have wanted an African boy for the last couple of years. They were initially going to have that adoption follow the addition of Pax last year, but that all changed when Angie got pregnant with twins last fall,” says the source.
Angelina has always been open for adopting children. She even hinted in previous interviews that she preferred an even distribution of nationalities in her family.
Jolie was quoted saying, “The questions are more when you have a mixed-race family,” she said. “Do you balance the races so there’s another African person in the house for Z? So there’s another Asian person in the house for Mad? Shiloh has Brad and I she can look at. Shiloh looks like Brad. It’s funny because she’s almost going to be the outcast in the family because she’s blonde and blue-eyed.”
This can be seen within her multicultural family – Maddox of Cambodia origin was partnered with Pax of Vietnam origin. However, Zahara from Ethiopia currently has no playmate that she could relate to, in terms of skin color, so adopting another child from Ethiopia may make sense.
