Poor old John Voight still hasn’t seen his new grandkids. You can see his good with kids when JFXonline.com caught him out with an extended family having a good time. (as seen on the picture below) However, he’s happy about everything that’s been happening to his daughter’s life. Sheknows.com has caught up with John Voight and asked him a few questions about the Jolie-Pitts.

“I haven’t seen any pictures yet — the million dollar pictures!” Voight laughed when SheKnows caught up with the Brangelina babies’ grandpa this week.

Back when the two spoke…Jon is, of course, referring to the bidding war to publish the first images of babies Knox and Vivienne. The rocky nature of the Voight and Jolie father-daughter relationship has been quite public.

But that didn’t stop SheKnows from asking Voight about his growing family as the actor left a Fox press conference. (We also got the scoop on his new bad-to-the-bone character on “24,” so stay tuned for SheKnows in-depth Fall TV Preview!)

SheKnows: Congrats on the babies!

Jon Voight: Thank you! I’m sure Angie, Brad and Angie’s brother — who is over there — are just as happy as can be. I haven’t spoken to her, but I’ve gotten word. Healthy and happy. That’s the biggest thing. It’s a very exciting time.

SheKnows: Did you know the twins were fraternal or was it a surprise?

Jon Voight: I did know it was going to be a boy and a girl, but I kept my mouth shut. Aren’t you proud of me?!

SheKnows: What is the hardest thing about being a parent?

Jon Voight: You don’t want to know!

SheKnows: It’s almost back to school season. Thinking back, what do you remember about getting Angie and her brother ready each year?

Jon Voight:You do the normal shopping for all the things they need and get them prepared. You also have to talk them into going back to school, because know one wants to go. (laughs) It was never big drama. We’d get everyone in good shape and talk about the positives like getting to see their friends. The kids were good in school. I used to pick them up all the time and ask them about how things went.

SheKnows: So how do you like being a grandpa?

Jon Voight: You guys know more about me than I do at this point! I love kids and I can’t wait to see the twins. We’ll see. Right now, I’m just very excited for Angie, Brad and their babies and their brothers and sisters. It’s such a beautiful time.

Maybe he’s busy, or maybe Angelina and her father still hasn’t made up completely.  Everyone’s been wanting to see a picture of the new Jolie-Pitt twins and Jon Voight is one of the millions who hasn’t seen the babies yet. It’s sad when parents don’t get along with their kids; I hope he does get to see him in person and not when a U.S. magazine publishes the first photos of Leon Know and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt.
